Do you know Peruvian Gastronomy? If you are someone who enjoys good food, Peruvian food is for you.
Peru is a nation that stands out among the others because it is one of the mega-diverse countries in the world. The country is divided in two by the Andes Mountains, so it has a territory that has an endless variety of altitudes, cultures, and biomes that leave anyone speechless.
Due to this biodiversity, its lands lend themselves to the cultivation and hunting of an incredible amount of fruits, vegetables, terrestrial and marine animal species, and shellfish. Did you know that it has up to 3,000 types of potatoes?
It is because of this that this country has one of the most extensive and recognized gastronomies in all of Latin America and the world!
It has been declared Cultural Heritage of the Americas for the World by the Organization of American States since 2011 and Peru is considered the country with the most typical dishes in the world, counting more than 490.
This week, hand in hand with delicious Brazilian food, we will present 2 dishes and 2 delicious cocktails to get you started on this epicurean adventure. We begin with an exquisite "Papa a la Huancaína" where we will use the "Ají Amarillo" as the main ingredient, then we continue with a traditional "Lomo Saltado" and as the end (or beginning) of the party for the weekend, we finish with a refreshing "Chilcano" and a classic with a twist "Pisco Sour de Maracuyá".
Don’t forget to accompany this incredible experience through the most recognized cuisine in the world, with a special selection of songs on our Spotify playlist ;)
